Meet your pastor!
Rev. Rosemary Charmaine Grattan
Rev. Rosemary “Rosie” Grattan is an Elder, serving the Rio Texas Conference since 2011. She has considered ministry a passion for most of her adult life. “I felt God’s call to full-time ministry while working for the Texas Department of Insurance, and later while working with women and children in a recovery setting.” In addition to her ministry in churches throughout the denomination, Pastor Rosie has spent a number of years ministering to people on the streets and in incarceration programs throughout the State of Texas. She has also served older adults living in their homes and assisted living facilities.
Before arriving at Simpson, Pastor Rosie served at Covenant UMC, Sinton First UMC, Manchaca UMC and St. Mark UMC. She has also served in Extension Ministries; first to Global Ministries, working at House of the Carpenter in Wheeling, West Virginia, and as a chaplain to Corazon Ministries in San Antonio, Texas.
Pastor Rosie truly enjoys teaching the Word of God and getting to know families and children in the church and community. Recreationally she loves to stay in fit by walking, taking long hikes, swimming and many other sports-related activities. She loves her family and enjoys spending quality time with them as often as possible.
Let’s spend some time together getting to know one another!
In the Lord’s Service,
Pastor Rosie
